Affiliate Marketing is a constantly evolving so you'd think that books on affiliate program management would end up out of date pretty quickly. The fundamentals remain fairly constant however, and the best of the books available remain a solid resource for any affiliate manager.

For anyone entering affiliate marketing, they are a great start point - along with any of the affiliate management training courses available. We'd also advocate following some of the great podcasts (see the link to the right).

The Authors

We've put together a list of some of the better books on the market for affiliate managers - written by some of best people in the industry and who've actually done the job.

So you can be assured that what the authors suggest is based on real-life operations of running an affiliate program - before they get around to putting these down in their books.

There are also a couple at the foot of the page aimed at new affiliates - and like so many of these it's promising a six-figure income with no work. It's doubtful many of the authors have achieved that themselves, though may have generated a few $$ from book sales.

Affiliate Program Management - an Hour a Day

Affiliate Program Management: An Hour a Day is comprehensive and the largest piece of his work, revealing what it takes to set up a successful in-house affiliate program.

First written by renowned affiliate marketing thinker and writer, Evgenii Prussakov in 2007, most of the key parts of the book remain current and relevant.

A Practical Guide to Affiliate Marketing

Written as an indispensable handbook for all affiliate managers and merchants alike. The book provides concrete, practical answers to common (as well as not-so-common) questions, the book gives usable ideas on promoting affiliate programs, along with ways to keep affiliates motivated.

Affiliate Boot Camp

Shawn was one of the the pioneers of affiliate marketing way back when in 1997, so this is old school but still worth a read! Drawing on ten years of experience as an affiliate manager, he shares his process for cultivating and maintaining relationships with affiliates.
